The Brief
UDS & UAV Solutions approached me to create a cinematic documentary-style brand story that would set them apart from the typical corporate video format. The goal was to showcase their origins, mission, and impact in a way that felt engaging, human, and authentic.
The Approach
To bring their story to life, we filmed on location at their offices, capturing interviews, behind-the-scenes moments, and the cutting-edge technology that powers their work. We then integrated high-quality drone footage—supplied by UDS—to add dynamic visuals that emphasized their expertise in aerial surveillance and UAV technology.
The final result was a visually stunning and emotionally compelling brand film that resonated with their audience and was incredibly well received.
My role
- Scriptwriting – Crafting a compelling narrative for both the brand story and case study.
- Creative Directing – Guiding visual storytelling, and ensuring cinematic quality.
- Weaving together interviews, footage, and branded elements for a polished, high-end finish.
Expanding the Story: Project Airwolf
Following the success of the origin story video, UDS requested an adaptation to highlight a groundbreaking pilot project, Project Airwolf, developed in collaboration with their client, ABSA.
- Filmed additional interviews to provide deeper insights into the project’s success.
- Edited a dedicated case study video, demonstrating the real-world impact of UDS’s UAV solutions.
- Adapted the video into two versions—one branded for UDS and another for ABSA—ensuring each version felt true to its respective brand identity.
The Impact
The final videos provided UDS with powerful marketing assets that:

✔ Showcased their innovation & expertise, leading to greater engagement and industry recognition.
✔ Created versatile content that could be used across multiple platforms, including the tailored ABSA-branded version for extended reach.
